"NO MORE TEARS" - Short for Ridley Scott/Philips Contest
Hi,
just finish my latest short movie for the Ridely Scott / Philips contest. It was shot using a Canon 7D. I hope you'll like it. All comments are welcome ;-) YouTube - NO MORE TEARS Cheers Jean-Michel |

Tremendously well done, I thought, in all aspects, including FX, audio, acting, CC, etc. I have two incredibly small nits that I will nonetheless mention. I thought that the first transition from exterior to interior would work better if the camera move toward the curb actually revealed that there was someone behind the opening in the curb (by showing eyes, a silhouette, motion of some sort, or something else, I'm not sure what) before cutting to the basement interior. I also thought the subsequent dissolve from the basement back to the exterior needed to be longer--as it is, it read like a cut to me, and therefore did not indicate the change in time and location, so it was a little abrupt to my eye. But as I said, I thought the piece was very, very good--I enjoyed watching it and likely will look at it again.
Good luck with the contest. Kevin |

Very cool. Especially loved the zoom out at the very end. Ridley would be proud!
