Driven - A Short Film
Just wrapped up my new short titled "Driven." It's about a 19 year old named Connor Reid who can't afford to go to college. However, his love for photography and his drive to succeed are all he needs to find happiness. This was a personal story I wanted to explore through heartwarming drama and emotion. I'm trying to get some feedback on this.
Thanks! --Matt Last edited by Matthew Macomber; June 6th, 2010 at 07:23 PM. |

Generally I don't like reviewing other peoples work, but I like it even less when you work hard to produce something and people won't give you feedback.
First off, good job, nice camera work. The acting seemed a bit forced, I think if you would have cut on action a bit more it would tightened it up making it flow a little better. It felt very linear. It's difficult directing that many people, especially aspiring actors. If you have questionable performances, sometimes its better to edit it a bit tighter, get rid of any pregnant pauses or waiting for responses. For example when their in the dorm room talking about entering the contest, it was very back and forth - kind of predictable. Over all good effort. |
