It worked for me. Jay have you upgraded Quicktime to 7.0 yet? There is a preview out now for Windows XP (what I run) and it worked fine. The link has h264 at the end so I imagine it was encoded at H.264
As for the movie, wow was that beautiful. You had some staggering images in that. Also some really nice camera moves that added quite a bit. When that shot of that white sand beach came up I started aching to be in Hawaii. Congratulations, that movie made me really happy while I was watching it. I think next time I am at work I'm just going to play that in my head all day. |

Holy Smoke, Kalani--you've got some amazing stuff in there!!! We went to Hawaii last winter but skipped the Big Island this time because it wasn't one of my favorites twenty-five years ago. But if I had seen these images I would have made different plans!
Thanks so much for giving us a glimpse. Beautiful! (And that footage with the lava was really cool!)

This was great to see. Very nice piece I did miss seeing Hilo where I went to Jr. High years ago. There were a few magnificent banyan trees there that would have been nice to see again.

Downloaded the latest Quicktime for PC and got audio, but no video. Tried Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Edit - downloaded the wrong one - I will try again using the Beta. Got it that time. Very nice. I am a fan of Kauai, but the Big Island is a fantastic place. Your colors really pop out. Last edited by Steven Gotz; July 20th, 2005 at 02:22 PM. |

Kalani, thanks for uploading the video. Great stuff and makes me want to visit.
How about sharing some info on the production. -Did you use any filters? -Did you have any steadicam for the moving shots out of a car? -Did you get that color out of the camera with settings or was some of that color correction? I love my XL2, but I don't have quite as nice scenics here in Raleigh, NC! Thanks for sharing. Kevin |
