The Vetala - - Buffy meets Fringe - shot on XHA1

If you like Buffy and Fringe....

A friend of mine has been working on this scf-fi/thriller web series, shot it all on XHA1s. Take a look:

Pretty good series! I don’t watch the shows you mentioned but still found this one quite interesting. Doesn’t matter that I have so many broad questions--I figure the big picture will come together at the end. (If I doesn’t I’ll be ticked!)

Two picky opinions: I am not a fan of several of the zooms used--they don’t seem to have a purpose. Not a huge deal but they did take me out of the story.

Secondly, it’s at episode 5 and I’d sure like to know why the bad guys are trading the “merchandise.” With what little was revealed earlier I hate to admit that I thought, “That’s it?” Knowing earlier why it’s a big deal helps make me care more about what happens.

Overall, though, it’s plenty spellbinding enough and a good-looking show. Except for the one criticism I like the camera work, in particular, that cool jib shot down the back of the guy in episode 3! :) Nice editing, too. Looking forward to the rest of it.

Just watched the first episode, I like it, I will watch the rest.

I love the overall look of the video.

I do agree the zooms seem to not serve a purpose, I thought that maybe the entire video would continue that shaky zooming in and out style like "spooks" or MI5 as its know in the US. If it had the I think the zooms would have worked. I do like the fast cuts though.

Holy Shimoli!!! That was awesome. I like it zooms and all. I would like to know more about how you filmed it. What was the budget?
