Snake trailer
I filmed and edited the following trailer. I am looking for input either on film work, or editing.
"Alterna Rush" Movie Trailer on Vimeo "For more than forty years herpers have used the roadways and public right of ways of West Texas to pursue reptiles and amphibians of many species, the gem of them all being the graybanded kingsnake. In the spring of 2007 this was put to a stop by a house bill outlawing the pursuit, capture or take of snakes and other wildlife from public roads or right of ways. The snake hunters have formed a group to fight the decision." |

Hi Andrew,
I looked at the trailer. It all looks pretty good, grabbed my interest. Comments: 1. The audio on the first dialog segment (speaking under the montage), sounded a little low to my ears. Sounded like it might have been recorded with the on-camera mic? Not sure if bringing it up will make it noisy. 2. I would consider having some dialog come in a little earlier, just so that a viewer doesn't think it's a music video/montage thing. The images and music get your attention, but the dialog is what starts to draw you in. 3. That is a pretty fierce aspect ratio you have going there! Sure you want something that aggressive on a documentary? No show stoppers, but just my impressions. Good luck with the final product. Ciao, marks |
