New 8 Foot Sativa animal rights music video is now available for viewing
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I visited the boards, but I wanted to return with an announcement about a new video that I helped produce over the last 4-5 months for New Zealand metal legends 8 Foot Sativa.
The band themselves are vegan and approached a friend of mine for some undercover animal abuse footage because they were going to slap a video together. She told a director she knew (vegan also) and he offered to make the band a video, and that's when I came on board. The video was shot on next to no money, as almost every video in NZ is, and is probably the biggest project of any significance to me that I've been involved in. Hope you like it. Warning, people with sensitive ears might want to put in their ear plugs :) Cheers Aaron YouTube - 8 Foot Sativa - Sleepwalkers (Uncensored) |

Nice work!
LolZ, I would never have thought they were vegans. I dig that stroby sections. The sheep's head was a nice touch. What gear did you shoot it with?

Hi ya Dennis.
The undercover stuff was shot on all manner of cameras, but all the band performance and point of view stuff was shot on an Sony EX1 I think it was. Of course we downsized the HD footage to SD and graded it heavily to match with the undercover stuff. We used a mini-job for some band performance shots, 650w Arris for the downlights and giga-strobes. Last edited by Aaron Koolen; January 22nd, 2009 at 11:12 PM. |
