Pretty good!
You would have really sold it at the end if the world started to tip from the point of view of the last shot when he knocked the camera over. :) Nice job though! |

I especially like how the entire concept of the short tied in with one of the contest requirements. You took a Dutch Angle and made it into a whole short.
I liked it. |

Wow that's pretty sneaky...
Not sure if this was intentional or not, but it appears that the "&condition=1" on your URL automatically votes for the user when they click... Couldn't watch it because the servers are slow, but I'll check it out when I can!

IF this is true then 1 may just as well be 1 star? and everyone has been rating this as 1 star?

Hey Austen,
Really nice work! I thought the idea of using the dutch angle as the focus was also very clever. It reminded me of that Chaplin movie in the teeter-tottering house! Good work and good luck in the competition! Consequently, I also entered this competition, just for the experience or to test myself and experiment. My video is somewhat lacking in more polished filming techniques, but I think I made up for it with some creativity in the storyline and editing. Let me know what you think: http://edcommunity.apple.com/insomni...hp?itemID=1721 Also I see that you are attending LA Film School. I am very interested in going there and would like to get your opinion on the school and your experience.

Good work. It made me laugh out loud at my desk. Always a good sign. Best of luck with whatever this is. :)

What did you shoot it on? I really liked the look of the first color shot... the ending was hilarious.

I just showed this to someone else as an example of a really funny, really simple short film. They said it reminded them of Irwin Allen only much better done, and intentionally funny.
Second viewing. It still made me laugh out loud. Congrats on a great little film. |
