Joseph, I was just razzing you a bit - no harm or insult intended. Personally I don't care at all about slightly off topic post on a thread, or in this case other people posting their videos from their Youth Groups. It makes sense to me that other most all of the youth group videos would be on one thread. Plus I like seeing what other people have done. Gives me ideas for things I might want to try in the future.
I thought the concept of your piece was great - here's the definition of dorky - and we're not it. The only thing I would've done differently is that I wouldn't have used quite so many still images. Maybe if there could've been about half still images and half video of the events. I can easily understand why you went with all stills though. Probably nobody pulled out a video camera at the events where the stills were shot, thus no video. So my only bit of advice to make your next video better is - have your video camera handy. Take it to all the events you can and try to get b-roll for your next promo video. Whatever you do, keep it up. I thought it was put together well for what it was intended to be. So mark this one down as a success and set the bar higher next time... and the next time... and the next time... Just my $.02 - take a penny, leave a penny... Kevin |

You were right about the stills. The reason why I had so many stills was because I wasn't at the Bash last year and they wanted some media from last years event.
My youth pastor said I could just have plain still pics, but I knew that would be WAY to boring, so I sent each pic to Motion 2 and created a different file for each pic. I spent about 6-7 hours on this promo. Joseph |
