Forgive me for reviving an old thread, but I'm researching the Spider Brace and am puzzled by the comment quoted above - their web site says the Spider Brace is not readily tripod-mountable. So is it or isn't it?

Kevin: I think what is being said is you can buy plate that you mount on the Spider brace to make it a quick release compatible with your tripod. Here is the item. I just bought one to attach to my SteadyStick... You bolt it on to the existing threaded attachment used for the camera so you can switch between Bogan tripod and Spider brace quickly. It comes with an additional plate. Here is the item: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...shs=577+Quick+

Thanks Chris. So I would attach the Bogen quick-release plate to the top of the Spider brace and mount my camera to the quick-release plate using a standard Bogen tripod mount? Sounds good.
