DVX ergonomics poll, who is using what for support?
Hi all-
Had the DVX since fall, very happy with pic quality- Just wondering what most are using for support of this camera when they do go hand held? I got a rover grip to assist with balance, making it a two hand hold and a little more like a big still camera, that helps but would still like to be shoulder oriented because of the wireless receiver and the cam light etc.- Only thing is, gets REALLY hard when you go manual focus because of 24 or 30 , which I correctly or incorrectly have been doing with the left hand. Just looking for tips, advice, observations- Anyone seen, used or like the image 2000 mount? Thanks all- Jeff in NC

i have a mini-rover with the mate on the top for my wireless receiver.
the only hassle is adjusting focus because then you need to take your left hand off. i guess i'm getting more and more picky, the more footage i shoot the more i find myself using the tripod. with the rover i can hold the camera very steady and with fairly little fatigue, but its still not the same as a good tripod with a great head. matthew |
