Dennis,
Wouldn't using an achromat be far heavier than a loupe solution? I played with achromats before settling for a loupe because of weight issues. A fully loaded 5dmkII rig already weighs a...

Dennis,

I'm intrigued, still not sure you got my question though. Do you have a way to quickly rebalance and re-align a 5DmkII rig when you change from say a 28mm lens to an 80-200mm? while used...

Dennis,

That sounds interesting, glad you have taken comments onboard about using the LCD screen with a loupe. Will you offset allow for use of bars, follow focus and mattebox like the Zacuto...

Steev.

I used to have a 12-24 Sigma, also owned a Sigma 15-30 in the past. They are all usable and I think the 12-24 is hard to beat for ultrawide effect. If you need ND you can fit a small gel...

Jon,

Sorry to come to this late, I would seriously suggest you look at the older Nikon 20-35 f2.8 AF lens. It can be found quite cheaply now and features better manual focus than the newer...

Yes its 30p, and yes I'd normally close down a bit more to around f4, it was just quite dark in most of the interviews and once I'd started in a certain look I didn't want to change it.

Yes, sorry about that, won't happen again. I'll use the Beachtek DXA5D next time.

Josh,

I think the real 'bargains' are the Zeiss 28mm f2.8, the 50mm f1.4, the 85mm f1.4 and the 135mm f2.8. All can be found for great prices if you shop around.
