I asked about that, since I know NOTHING about derby. They say they still exist, but are quite expensive and more dangerous, so they have fallen out of favour.

Video I did recently for the Toronto Roller Derby. Shot on 2 Canon 7D's and a Canon 1D mk4. Steadicam was a Pilot and we used all Canon glass.

SO I updated with a bit more gear like a Marantz 661 audio recorder, and I have rid myself of the stupid blue Redrock thumb Screws. It's all Allen Key tightened now and only the parts...

At full resolution, there is SOME noise, but frankly, not a lot. Some of it is lost to the vimeo comrpession, but in general, it looks pretty good up to 1600, and 3200 is usable...
