Remote follow focus unveiled
Hi there,
we have some pictures available for the Foveas Remote Follow Focus, a devide thought to be used for wireless remote focus pulling for DV/HDV cameras with 35mm adapters like RR, Brevis, Letus... www.foveas.com We also plan to release a wireless monitor for focus pullers. We would like to have your opinion... Diego Galvez http://www.foveas.com diego [at] foveas.com |

Congrats on the progress!
As someone mentioned, markable discs or rings will be helpful to mark out each lens. Also the cable to the motor shouldn't be hardwired into the motor--you don't want to have the motor go out of service because of cable failure, you just want to swap out cables (and the cables look a bit short, they should at least 20" to allow for flexible mounting of the receiver). The motor mount is interesting, all the ones I've ever seen only require a single rod rather than both. I wonder if this would create a conflict if one needed to control both focus and iris, where the motors would have to be mounted on either side of the lens but the mounts would interfere with each other. Do you have specs on weight of the components, etc.?
