Handle Zoom for Z1

I've just ordered a Spider Brace 2 for my Z1P and am looking to get a handle zoom controller to put on one of the handles.

But I'm a bit in the dark about how they work.

Someone recommended to me to simply tape the remote that comes with the camera to the handle but that won't give me great control of the zoom. I've seen some with a little sliding scale so you can zoom at changing speeds.

Has anyone else got one of these that they can recommend?

Thanks,
-- John.

There are plenty of controllers to choose from; do a search on LANC. However, there's a "gotcha" on the Z1 in this regard unfortunately... see the following: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=55047
