LANC control?

please excuse me if this is a stupid question, i'm rather new at this.

i have a varizoom variable speed zoom control that I used on an XL1s, I was just curious if anyone knew if I could use this with an FX1 or Z1? I'm assuming not, since I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere, but I think it uses a standard LANC interface so I thought I would ask before I sell it.

Thanks in advance,

JT

It ought to work.

I've got a Canon ZR1000 that I had for my GL2 and the variable zooms work great with my FX1.

I have a Varizoom Pro-L LANC controller. It works fine on my PDX-10, VX-2000 and HVR-Z1.

All LANC controllers will work properly on Sony HDV camcorders (and Canon, when they reach the market).
