Books for young untrained actors?
Hoping someone can recommend something (anything) for this.
A young person (13) who wants to act, has had no training. She is an avid reader though, so I think that a beginng acting book would be perfect as a jumpstart. Don't want it to be too long or over-her-head. Just something to get her started with some basic dos and dont's of acting. Does anyone know of something along these lines?

"Respect for Acting" by Uta Hagen
"Acting: The First Six Lessons" by Richard Boleslavsky "Advice to the Players" by Robert Lewis I haven't read these in a long, long time, but they made an impression on me years ago. I had a chance to study with Ms. Hagen (who just passed away recently) and she was one of the truly great acting teachers in an era of masters like Sandy Meisner, Lee Strasberg & Stella Adler.
