Hi Mat
I thought output into nle such as EDIUS Pro 4 worked irrespective of standard - but I'll still keep an eye out for you. Whats your budget - so I don't send you info that's irrelevant. Cheers.

Hey Dave
Canon can do a factory mod to change the XLH1 as I understand but I really do need to work in PAL not fudged in the NLE. Budget wise, willing to look at anything dependent on condition, I just can't afford the new UK price at the mo. Now the new US price is ok but then its NTSC again :-( |

Mat,
One thing you may consider: If someone has an NTSC version for sale used, you could strike a deal with them to have the update to PAL added before they ship it to you. Even the extra $500 (which is what it costs including shipping from Canon) will probably be less than a new H1 if the starting price of the used unit is a good deal. I just sold an H1 to a guy in Belgium and I had it done for him before I shipped it, and he was happy to pay the extra because it was still a much better price than he could get on a new PAL H1. They also turned it around from the service center in New Jersey in less than a week. -Vence

WTB:IndieRAILSPro
Just curious to see if anyone would be selling their rail system, any rail system (not homemade) for around 50 bucks or so. Thanks!

No, it's just a firmware upgrade. You then select PAL or NTSC in the menus.
