ken, the matte box is still available. i'm in the east village in manhattan -- not close to jfk at all :). the pd170 should be fine but you might have to lose the mic, or put it somewhere else, like on the shoe. i'm just judging from pics, so can't tell for sure.

Selling DVrig pro camera support
Selling my DVrig pro camera support.
It is in good working condition, I recently change the the top piece of the rod support and a new Universal locking base plate from DVTEC . The old one was a bit bent. But still usable . I can throw in the old top piece of rod if you want it. Asking for 330euros shipped within Germany. Pick up in Munich is welcome. Else where pay for actual shipping. I used to use it for my DVX and XHA1. No problem at all, Because of the spring loaded rods. You don't really feel the weight of the camera. I can use it the whole day without any problem. Pictures can be view here: http://www.toytowngermany.com/forum/...howtopic=95312 Sold many things here with no problems at all. Email: davidchiaemail@yahoo.com

Henry -
I see that you have a Letus attached to an HVX200. I read what you said about dropping a load of cash on a Redrock Mattebox Bundle and I am in the same situation myself. I dont want to hijack your thread, but I think your the right guy to ask a couple questions... I did not check to see that the Letus and the redrock Mattebox would connect correctly, prior to ordering it (gulp - 20% restocking fee?) - When I think about it I assume it would, but who knows for sure. (Do you?) Anybody can respond to this by the way. i need to know if I should cancel this order ASAP and all help is appreciated. |

RL, the redrock mb is height-adjustable and connects to the front of the 35mm lens. as long as the height of the lex's lens mount doesn't stray too far from standard height on your rods, it should be fine.
Nate, i like the geardear a lot. since it's made of high-density pvc, it's uniquely light for it's feature-set and highly customizable. i love how it breaks down into 8mm slices -- i can take the hood apart and throw everything into a backpack. re-assembly takes two minutes. i find i rarely use the french and side flags (tho the option is nice), preferring to go super light with just the hood with a mask (top-left pic). my only real gripe with it are the filter stages. adding/removing filters is a little more difficult than it should be, and the rotating stages are a bit of a pain to turn. you get used to working with it tho. honestly, if the redrock mb didn't look so amazing for the money, i think the geardear would be my matte box of choice for a while. |

WTT: VX2100 for HVR-A1U
Want to trade only- I don't want to let go of my VX2100 at all but I need another A1U for a very long shoot. The VX has roughly 100 hours of record time. I used it 50% of the time to capture what it recorded and another cam the other 50%. I am the 2nd owner. The 1st used it for only 50 hours. It looks virtually new. It includes a nice sony soft case, filters, wide angle lens, BIG battery, remote, etc. It has been VERY well taken care of.
I know it's a long shot but I'll take it.
