FS - XL2 (Package) with monitor, 35mm adaptor + accessories
I am selling my beloved and much babied XL2. I’m upgrading to the XL H1. This camera is the single most expensive (toy) I’ve ever purchased. I’ve treated it with “kid gloves”. It’s in excellent condition.
I purchased my XL2 new from B&H in the summer of 2005. I have been the only operator of this camera. It was used to capture video to my PC only twice (two 60 minute tapes) until I found a cheap DV Camcorder to do my capturing. I still have every miniDV tape I shot with it. I have counted a total of 73 tapes. Assuming 45 minutes of tape use per tape, I’m estimating I’ve shot approximately 55 to 60 hours with it. I would like to try to sell my XL2 with some accessories that I’ve gathered since 2005. I’d like to shoot for selling it as a package deal. However, should I get a reasonable offer for the XL2 (alone), I will consider selling the accessories separately. I will accept PayPal, Money Order, or other (agreed upon payment method). Buyer will pay shipping. I will agree to pay for half the shipping insurance. Here is the list of items. - Canon XL2 (with stock 20X lens & battery). Ships in original box with manual, remote, (all items that came in the original box from B&H) - Originally purchased (new) from B&H. - UV 72mm protective lens filter – Originally purchased (new) Rivers Camera shop – Dover, NH - Varizoom VZ-TFT7U 7" Widescreen Color LCD Monitor Kit – I seldom used this monitor. It has about 10 hours on it. Originally purchased (new) from B&H - Spare Battery Model # Lenmar 7.2V – 6000mAh Lithium ION battery – Originally purchased (new) from Hunts photo and video Melrose, MA - LetusXL 35mm adaptor with Nikon mount (this is the latest LetusXL (with flip) just prior to the introduction of the Letus Extreme. Mounts directly to Canon XL series cameras. Adaptor is in excellent condition. This adaptor has about 10 hrs of use on it. Originally purchased (new) from Letus in spring 2007) - Portabrace CTC3 XL2 Soft Case – Originally purchased (new) with XL2 from B&H - The ultimate guide to the Canon XL2 DVD Total price $3,200

James,
I do not have the original boxes... I have just used the petrol bags. I do have all of the original accessories. The condition of the bodies and lenses is great - no scratches, blemishes, problems, etc. The warranties have expired, as I have had them over a year. As far as tape hours I'm not certain... does anyone know if the camera logs that? I can only guess based on what we shot. We shot 10 episodes of Buddy Jackson, so about 50 minutes of content, and a couple other 5-7 minute shorts, so maybe 71 minutes, plus a 22 minute pilot, so maybe 95 minutes of finished content... at a 15:1 shooting ratio that would put maybe 25 hours on one of the cameras, and the B camera we used significantly less (not at all for the pilot), so maybe 10 hours max. Let me know if you have any other questions... |
