No it does not. Unlike a number of Manfrotto fluid heads, the bowl half-ball on the Gitzo is not removable. Depending on your requirements for a tripod, there are some farely inexpensive 75mm/100mm tripods out there.
Check out the Manfrotto 3182 (3181 = silver), they run about $250-300. They have a 75mm bowl, max height of 61", and holds 40 lbs. B&H doesn't carry the legs seperately, but EVS or Samy's carry them. regards, jordan |
