Hi Jad,
I know it's a hassle, but I suspect you'll do better/faster breaking up these items. Nice boutique audio... I definitely have shotgun envy, but not sure I can spring for the 416 right now. I hope you will still be in our camp though, Jad. That's a JVC GY-HD200 you want - not a Panasonic hd200 - right? :^) suspect so, since I don't see the DR-HD100 firestore on the block!

Wow I thought there would be more interest since so many are switching to Mac. I have now lowered the price on any of the DVD's to $25 and $175 for the lot.

One of the main things that a deck will do a lot better than a camera is shuttle (fast forward/rewind) at a reasonable speed--cameras have really slow tape transport. If that is something you might need to deal with a lot (finding sections on a tape), it is indeed worth getting a deck if you can afford it.
I have a DSR 30 (full rack size) and DSR-20 (half rack) and MIGHT be convinced into letting go of one of them if the price were right...
