Smooth transaction. Got the items as promised (and even some small extras, nice touch). I used the camera to record my daughter's dance class this evening.

all right.... let me word this a little different....
---------------- Steadicam merlin vest & arm + metal gimble I was fortunate enough to be one of the first to get one of these ( it's serial #8 )... and it worked like a charm for the project I needed it for. Only has had about 6 hours of use and is in like-new condition. I'll include a zero haliburton case that the vest/arm fit in very nicely ( older case with some scuffs ) http://www.witzke-studio.com/hd/mercase.jpg ( the merlin will also fit in here ) Asking $1750 with free shipping in the lower 48 US These are still very hard to come by if your in a hurry to get one as I think they are hand made and nothing comes close to it's quality. ---------------- Steadicam Merlin this is the signature model that includes the molded foam zipper case. includes all original paperwork, dvd & box as new. Asking $600 with free shipping in the lower 48 US ---------------- Merlin accessory plate This is the plate that goes on the bottom end of the merlin and allows one to put accessories such as batteries, hardisk recorders, wireless receivers ets on... comes with all contents as if new. Asking $75 with free shipping in the lower 48 US |

Karl, with an XL1S, there isn't very much demand here on DV Info Net and you might have better luck on Ebay. Start with a low reserve, don't offer a BIN, show plenty of pictures and let the bidders compete. It's a seller's market there.
I think you should keep the Bogen controller. |

Canon XL2 for sale
I've got a Canon XL2 in excellent condition that I'm ready to sell, as I have moved to the XL-H1.
The camera has very low milage: approximately 35 hours on the heads. Camera was used professionally and delicately and kept safely cased when not shooting. I am the original owner and I purchased the camera new from B&H. I will ship it in the original box with all original accessories, EXCEPT the little metal bracket thingy that can be screwed on the back of the camera for attaching certain outboard devices. I can't seem to find that. If I do, I'll include it. It also has a Tiffen lens protecting filter that I have kept on the lens at all times. You will find several pictures here: http://web.mac.com/vencevida/iWeb/Site/Home.html Asking $2,350 out the door - that includes PayPal, shipping and insurance. Thanks, Vence Vida

Karl,
You might have better luck selling the accessories separately. The LCD screen and the Bogen lens controller have value of their own that you will most likely lose by selling them packaged with the rest of the XL1s kit. Ever since the new HD series Canons came out, the price for used SD gear has just bottomed out. Trust me, I had 4 SD cameras to sell (3 GL2s and 1 XL2) this year as I migrated to HD. It was painful accepting the prices the market would bear, but it is, what it is. We also have an XL1 (the original) but we haven't even tried to sell it, because it has practically no value on the market. It's worth more, just to hang on to it, right now and use it for a little something, here and there. I think Chris is right, you will get more for the camera on ebay. Buyers there are not as savvy as they are on this forum and tend to pay a bit more. BUT, I would sell the LCD and lens controller separately to maximize the income. -Vence

Vence is absolutely right. Sell the camera and its regular accessories together and sell all of the accessories separately. I would included the rain cover in the stuff to sell apart from the camera.
Mike

I sold mine a year ago and sold it with a lot of accessories, and only got$2500. (tripod, mic, light, 9" monitor, cables and so on)
Your better off listing it on ebay. If you get $2000 consider yourself lucky. Good Luck |

Is this the "little metal bracket thingy" that you can't find?
