Re: FS100 in like new condition
Hi, Gabe:
So the F3 fits your needs better than the FS-700 apparently. Was it a decision you had to wrestle with? |

Re: FS100 in like new condition
Actually, since you mention that, I started thinking about that last night.
Now I am not sure if I want to go F3 or FS700. I'm stuck again and not sure which way to go. I don't do much narrative scripted stuff like an actual film, but plenty of corporate stuff where the big sensor makes interviews look just fantastic. For that reason, I am thinking the slow motion of the FS700 might be more useful in a corporate video environment than the extreme dynamic range with F3 and SLog. Argh, just having a hard time figuring it out. I don't care about the 4k thing at all at this point, having ND filters built in would be nice, although I have grown to kind of like the Heliopan as you can dial in EXACTLY the amount of ND you like instead of only having 2 stops, 4 stops or 6 stops. But the downside is once you put the Heliopan on, you can't go to 0 stops, so if you are inside or at night, you don't need the Heliopan on, but outside in the day you do. If they could have made it with a '0' setting it would have been just perfect in my opinion, and I wouldn't even care about built in ND (and this from someone who wasn't going to buy the FS100 because it didn't have built in ND, the Heliopan is that good in my experience). But because of no '0' setting it can be a bit of a pain. Basically the slow motion and built in ND's are all I would get, but the slow motion does look really nice. So yeah, not sure now which one I want to upgrade too. |

Re: FS100 in like new condition
I just remember that a professional person whose opinion I respect said that the F3 picture was "simply stunning".

Parting out a JVC HD100
The ccd block on this camera has a spot on it and it's not worth fixing on this particular camera so I'm going to part it out. Here are the parts and prices (all prices include shipping):
Viewfinder: $175 Rear IDX mounting bracket: $90 (this also fits any of the 200 and 700 series camera that use an IDX battery) IDX power adapter: $125 Fujinon stock lens: $550 Stock mic: $45 Camera body: $400 obo I would rate all of the items in good condition or better as you can see from the pictures. The viewfinder has the usual small crack in the corner but it's solid and works fine. It's possible to shoot around the bad spot that appears on the ccd but it's a challenge. Under normal shooting condition a small blue dot appears in the lower left corner of the frame. If you open up the iris to a 4.0 or better it will go away or become so faint that it's not noticeable. If you have any questions please just send me a private message on this forum or text me at 217-two zero two-3603. |

Firestore DR-HD100
I have a Firestore DR-HD100 for sale. Price: $475 shipped.
It's in perfect working condition and is in excellent shape. It has the update to record either the .m2t format or .mov files. I've only used it in the .m2t format because I edit on a pc. This item comes in it's original box and has it's original manuals. It also includes a 12v power cord to D-tap which will allow you to pull power for the unit directly from the camera. The internal battery is still rock solid and will run the unit for about three hours. If you have any questions please PM me on this forum or text me at 217-two zero two-3603. |

Petrol Camera Bag
I have a Petrol camera bag for sale. Price: $140 shipped.
It's a mid-sized bag and was used to house my JVC HD100 with a wireless receiver on the back. It's in excellent condition with no rips or tears and shows virtually no signs of wear. It's been very well maintained and should last it's next owner for years to come. Message me on this forum, post on this thread, or text me at 217-two zero two-3603 if you have any questions. |
