FS: DVD Enlightenment - $60 OBO
This is an excellend overview of the principles of lighting for video presented in a comprehensive and involving way.
Here's the description from the dvcreators.com site. "The DV Enlightenment DVD covers essential lighting theory, DVcreators.net's Four Point Lighting Method taught around the world to tens of thousands of attendees, how to get the best results shooting daylight exteriors or interiors with natural light, lighting a greenscreen, lighting for black limbo, white limbo, and a series of lighting tips and tricks for a range of situations." It sells for $75 (or $99 - if their limited time offer has expired) plus shipping. The reason I am selling it - I watched it 4 times and enough is enough :) My email is andreNO@SPAMturnhead.com (remove the capital letters). I will ship it in the continental US in a nice padded envelope for $6. If I don't get a response within 7 days, I will void my offer on this forum and auction the tutorial. Regards -- Andre |

Well at this point I am finding out first what the market price is for a 15", I think a 17" is too big to lug around comfortably, but of course if the price is really good I could become interested in the 17" model.
By the way it's Vancouber BC, Canada. I got an email from somebody in Vancouver Oregon <sigh>.

Sony VX2000 + Extras for sale
Hi all,
Up for sale I have my Sony VX2000 package for sale. I am selling because with my new job I no longer have the time to invest in any serious video projects and I find myself turning towards photography as its easier for me to get up and out alone to shoot. With that said, here is a list of everything included in the package: Sony VX2000 Camera Beachtek DXA-4 Dual XLR Adapter 4 Batteries- NP-F750, NP-F550, and 2 NP-F330s Standard Acessories including: AC Power Adapter Remote Control Memory Stick reader/writer (no stick included) Sony Shoulder Strap Small and Llarge Eyecups Lens Hood Instruction Manual, Picture Gear Lite 4.1 and Memory stick reader/writer software as well as random documentation Retail Box History of camera: I bought this used from a video artist/photographer and it is in terrific shape. He said it was used very little and it showed. I used it myself for 6-7 hours working on a few school projects. All of my shooting was done indoors on a tripod, and this camera is in great shape. Condition: Everything is in excellent functional condition and works as it should. Cosmetically everything is in great shape. I would say the camera is an easy 9 out of 10. If you are obsessive like me and sit down staring at it you may notice some very light wear, but there are really no noticeable scratches or scuffs. The beachtek has a ring around the bottom as it was mounted on a tripod for a while when I had it- other than that its perfect. Basically, the package is in great shape, I just like to be specific and open when selling. NOTE on the batteries: One of the NP-F330s holds a charge half way and then drops down. All the others appear to hold a good charge. I can take some pictures if anyone is interested. I am asking $1850 but feel free to make a reasonable offer. I will consider partial trades for Digital Rebel accessories. You can post here or email me at robsmo at yahoo dot com. You can look me up on Ebay under "compudork" or heatware.com under "robsmo" for references. Thanks!! Robbie |

With the cam being discontinued, and the GS400 coming so soon, that cam isn't gonna pull $900 from an unknown seller on a message board. You'll be able to get it cheaper brand new (and many already have). I'll give you $500 minus the tapes thru paypal. What do ya? say

Firewire SanCubes for sale!
Have 2 SanCubes that I'm thinking of selling. They're fairly hard to come by and look dangerously cool.
One's 120gb-ish and the other is 320-ish 4 drive and 6 drive... they are both 4-user boxes. If anyone's interested I'll get the specs for you as well as some pix. They're at my office otherwise I'd do so now. They are not the X-Streams. The drives I have been told are interchangable. for general info: http://www.sancube.com/ Josh |

Hi Robbie,
Please tell me if your cam is still available. If so, please tell me if it can do pass-through (DV-in, to use the camera as a "bridge" to allow preview on an external monitor while editing). Thanks!
