uv filter/VW-VDB-5 Hip Battery. purchased through tim selander in japan in 8/02 and rcvd in usa 9/02. Condition: mint-not a scratch anywhere. Use: very little- only shot a 30 minute tape in 9/02 after setting up menus/got sick and then shot a 15 minute tape about 6 to 8 months later. forgot most menu settings (in Japanese) and have not used since. It is in all respects like the dsr-11. It accepts both mini and large dv tapes, plays both dv and dvcam and records to DV. It has fire in/out, s and composite and has 422 deck control that dsr11 lacks. It also has vu meters on the front where the 11 does not. It comes with a stand to display the unit vertically. Check out the panasonic website for all details. I paid 1500.00 for it. thanks Bill |

The dsr-11 will record in DVCAM or DV mode and works in PAL or NTSC. The panasonic wont record DVCAM and is NTSC only (as far as I know).
