PC133 memory trade
I bought a PC133 SDRAM 512 chip but it turns out that despite people telling me my computer could use it, it cannot. I waited too long and can't return it now so I'm either going to sell it on eBay or....
I would like to trade it for a PC100 512 MB SDRAM chip which is a good deal since the PC133 is a faster piece of RAM. If anyone is interested, email me. thanks! |

Ok. I've used PC133 in my PC100 computer for a few years. That is, until last weekend, when I bought a new computer. If the part doesn't work in your computer, you may have a bad part on your hands.

You mentioned the word 'chip' . Do you really mean chip or a SIMM/DIMM, which is a thin board with several chips on it ?

PC100 and PC133 are compatable and should work in either. PC100 will work in a 133 bus but only run at 100. The bus is backwards compatable down to 66. You can even mix 133/100 without problems, but everything will run at the speed of the slowest component.
As Glints mentioned you may have a bad memory or your system can't handle a single 512MB stick. You may have to use 2x256s.

$250.
I bought it at a yard sale from a guy who died but had an awesome studio in his basement. I also have an Elmo GS 1200 Stereo Super-8 projector as well. I never tested the camera by actually shooting film and developing it. I did put an old Super-8 cartridge in it and tested the motor which worked fine. The zoom works and all the other features work as well. I just never developed film with it. Make an offer. It's not doing anybody any good sitting around doing nothing. Regards Hugh |
