Hi there

I bought this from B&H in May, it's a two-way rewinder, meaning it rewinds and fast-forwards your cassettes, which is something not all MiniDV rewinders can do. They told me that every time you rewind a tape in your camcorder, it strains its internal motor, so these rewinders come in real handy when it comes to preserving the integrity of your camcorder.

Features:
Minimizes wear and tear on your valuable camcorder
Saves Mini DV camcorder battery for recording use
Quickly and quietly rewinds your Mini DV cassettes
Auto shut off when finished
Runs on four AAA batteries for easy transport and storage (not included)
Optional AC adapter available (not included)
Note: Not for use with 8mm or VHS-C cassette tapes

I hardly used it, but left the batteries in it for a while, so they drained on their own. Also, it's a little finicky (I suppose you are supposed to be gentle when putting in tapes) so I ended up creasing some tape of mine when I used it. It's too much bother for me to slow down and deal with.

The first $30 takes it.

Thanks - I think it's a standard quarter inch, and I don't really NEED a boompole riht now, but the price was right!
