Very Good Editing PC w/ software
Hello Everyone, Yesterday I took the Plunge and purchased a brand new fully loaded ($5,000) PC from dell to be my new editing mechine. I no longer need my current system and because it's geared twards low - mid level editing and high end gaming i thought i would offer it here first.
Here are the hardware Specs: AMD 2800+ XP Processor running at 2.08 Ghz Gigabyte GA-7V-AX Mother board 333 Mhz FSB (Latest Bios Installed) Ati Radeon 9700 Pro 8x AGP video card (beter than the new 10X800 SE Cards and latest drivers installed) 1 40 Gig HD with only System and program files installed on it for maximum speed 1 160 Gig HD split into a 40Gig Partition to store a back up of the current sytem config and all files on the computer. (if you main hard drive fails, you wont lose a single file) 120 Gig Partiton to store and edit video files 1.5 Gig's Of Ram Pioneer Sloted DVD Drive Sony DRU-500AX DVD +/- Burner (set up to easily duplicate Dvds. New firmware update coming soon) Creative Adiogy 5.1 Platnum sound card with the Live Drive Fire wilre Card, with 3 Ports 56K Data/Fax Modem 6 Total Usb 2.0 inputs Intergrated Ethernet Flopy Drive 450W Power Suply Extra Case Fans to ensure maximum heat disapation. Other Hardware: Future Pwer 19 Inch" Flatscreen Monitor 3 Pc's Altec Lansing Sound System Multimedia Keyboard Microsoft 5 button optical scroll mouse. Installed Software: im not sure about the law when it comes to selling pc's with old software so I'll just assume the buyer will delete what ever he doesn't own the rights to. with that out of the way heres the list of just the important programs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional FD edition with Reg Tweaks and a custom tool bar Disk Keeper 8 Pro Fragmentation is the #1 Cause of computer slowdown. This program automaticly defrags when ever your not doing anything major on your system. A must have for video editors. MS Office 2003 Adobe CS Bundle (Photoshop CS, Go live CS Ilitrator CS and more) Pemiere Pro CS with After Effects 6 Vegas 5.0 +DVD Kaspersky 5.01 Anti Virus Software. Lifetime Updates Adware 6.0 Full version Spyware Blaster (i have not gotten a single piece of spyware after installing this) Tweaknow Powerpack 2005 customize everything about your computer quick and easy Tons of other great software and games. Well that's all i can think of right now, The computer is a little dusty on the inside but otherwise in great shape. I will seel all the Above for a total of $1100.00 + shipping. It is priced lower than what can be found on ebay and you would be getting it from a trust member of the forums who has successfully completed multiple High Dollar Sales on these forums. (do a search for my posting history to check :-D ) If your interested please post in this thread or email me at krismallory@gmail.com and i can get it out to you asap.

XL1s 4 Sale or what can I get for it!?
Hi,
I have a Canon XL1s here for sale, how much could I get for this bad boy. There is nothing wrong with, it was on four shoots. I still have the original packaging. It’s a PAL system. I want to upgrade my camera or even go to a different format So maybe it will help me on my next investment. Shaggy

I'd say roughly $2200-$2600 US. There's an XL1s NTSC in the classifieds for $2200 and recently serviced by Canon. That's a great deal for the buyer.
Looks like the euro is about 1.24 to the dollar so I'd say about 2700 to 3225 euros. The demand for the xl1s isn't really going down per say, just that with new equipment out there buyers aren't willing to spend as much as they used to for them. But then again, your guess is as good as mine. |

Could you tell about the hours and condition. How's the body and lens?

indeed - not the 100A
that price for the 100A would be a little daft.

The lens is brand new because I removed it right after I bought the camera and used a 16x manual. The body has very low hours, and the tape transport has practically no hours because I've used a capture to disk device with this camera. I don't think the transport has more than 5 hours on it. I use Panasonic tape, exclusively, never used any other brand.
This camera is potentially sold. If the agreement falls thru, I'll re-post here. |

Lower price for HD10u package deal.
I'm going to lower the price to $2999.99...amazing deal because they're still selling it for that price everywhere without all these extra goodies!
