I'm selling an IndiCam Pilot. You can tell by the pics it has spent way too much time in the bag. Time for someone else to put it to work.

It's a rough cut version of the Steadicam Pilot. I have both for the moment, and the main differences are in the shine and polish. Both will do good work, given the necessary diligence and practice. The IndiCam takes more time to adjust, and lacks several finessed aspects, but otherwise it will fly any camera up to 7 pounds and do it well. A heavier spring set-up is also available.

A couple advantages it has are portability, toughness, and hand-held readiness. It all fits in a medium sized day pack, making it far more transportable. It's powder coating, aluminum and steel make it less fragile and sensitive. It will go where the carbon cousin might fear to tread. The sled can be used hand-held alone, so it will go into tighter spaces or be ready in a hurried situation quicker.

It can be operated with either the backpack or vest, and comes with the high extension bar that adds another 12"-18" vertically. The Operational Training DVD and Stabilizer Basics DVD provide detailed set-up and adjustment instructions, as well as training on solid basics and exercises for mastering stabilizer work. It also comes with a 7" Audiovox 16:9 color SD monitor that operates on 9V. Add your own battery and it's ready to fly.

Since my last major HDV-requesting client has started accepting AVCHD, I've had less and less cause to use this camera. Pity, really... I love the dang thing. Almost questioning selling it...

Anyway...

Here's the rundown of what you'll get:

1 - Sony HVR-Z1U Camcorder
OPERATION- 59x10
DRUM RUN - 43x10
TAPE RUN - 30x10
THREADING - 72x10

Camcorder functions perfectly. Tape mechanism was replaced about a year ago due to takeup reel failure (can provide documentation), no problems since then.

6 - NPF970 - style generic batteries. All work and take and hold a charge of varying duration (3-7 hours). Depending on shooting schedule, don't have to charge for a week.
1 - Century Optics bayonet-mount 0.7x wide-angle converter lens
1 - Audio-Technica AT897 shotgun microphone
1 - 18" XLR cable
1 - RMT-841 camera remote
1 - Sony AC-VQ1050 twin charging station for L-series batteries; includes AC and 12v DC power cables

I have a Heliopan 77mm Variable Nd Filter in excellent condition, the best variable ND filter available period, with no color shift or resolution loss as you increase ND. It is optimized for digital as well as film. Phil Bloom did a great review of this filter on his blog: http://philipbloom.net/2011/06/04/th...r-i-have-used/ Purchased last month and still have original packaging case. It's smooth adjustable ring allows 1 to 6.6 stops of ND filtering. This filter has been kept in a soft microfiber pouch ever since purchase. Asking $420+shipping.
