CANON GL2 for Sale (3 months old) Like new
I have an almost brand new GL2 which is 3 or 4 months old. I am selling this camera like new, no scratches or anything, only used it around the house and once or twice in the office nothing fancy. I am very anal about my things so you can imagine how careful I was with it. I bought it in march and have not had any issues with it, I guess is just too much camera for me and went overboard with the accessories. It is in pristine condition never been dropped or mishandled. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.
Also, it comes with an extended warranty I bought from MACK (2 Years) which starts I think from the moment my normal warranty expires which it would be march 06 I spent about $2500 including everything (Cam/Warra/access). Alright guys, first takes it (Today Only) $1850 with the warranty transferred to you. Yes it is transferrable. (Or Better Offer) What's included: GL2 in its original box with everything that comes normally (All Accessories, All orig cables/ wireless remote/Instruction Manual) 2 extra 6000 MAH Battery (long lasting, TRUST ME) UV lense & Circular polarizer (Not the cheap ones) Email me and let me know tomas@tscga.com (404.451.6550) Last edited by Tomas Chinchilla; June 10th, 2005 at 03:37 PM. |

Just wondering, Derek - based on the footage, what did you decide?

Actually....
I didn't get any footage, other than postings with links that had footage and screen captures that I saw in this forum.
Based on my needs and my happiness with my current GL-2, the durability and the "it just always works factor" with my GL-2, many hours reading countless posts on this forum... and input from forum users - I'm going to go with the Canon XL2. Other factors that were important to me were: -The ease of Manual Focus and Manual Modes. -Being able to change lenses (for some of the different looks I want) -I'll be exporting 95% of the footage to the web (with DV, I'll start with 100% non-compressed data, which should have better results in Sorenson Squeeze when compressing for the web. -true 24p -Canon brand loyalty -From seeing the re-sale and turn rate on camcorders, knowing that down the road when Canon comes out with an HDV / HD camcorder that I may want, I can always sell the XL2 and have some cash to put towards the newer purchase. -My need for a camcorder within the next few weeks. -Seeing edited footage from the XL2 within this forum. -The DOF capabilities I've seen with the XL2. -Accessories currently available for DV camcorders. -Being able to use the FireStore direct-to-disk (and getting a rebate on it) with the XL2 ****IMPORTANT**** I think the Sony Z1 would be a great choice as well AND I'll aways be jealous of anyone who has one, BUT FOR MY NEEDS within the next 6 months to a year, the XL2 will be the best for me. That's my opinion.... today.... right now.... :) |
