Maybe prices listed for everything would be helpful, what are you looking to get for the Firestore?

I've got a GL1 that I have not been able to use nearly as much as I want to. I purchased it about a year ago and have used maybe 6 tape loads in it.
I have a 58mm UV & Polarizer filter for it, stock battery, and an extra 8 hour battery. Comes in a hardshell aluminum case. I also have Sennheiser me66 shotgun mic, boom pole with a nice audiotechnica shockmount, xlr cable, and a xlr-mini adapter. I'm entertaining selling it so I'm not desperately trying to sell it. If I don't sell it I'll use it next year for Film School, but I might sell it for the right price. Feel free to send me an offer :) Thanks

"Professional Wedding Videography" Training DVD for sale
DVD is the "Companion" to Video University's book "Wedding Video for Profit" and sells for $69. You can check it out on VU's site.
Price is $35 plus shipping. I would say the video is excellent for newbies or people with only a half dozen or so weddings under their belt. It covers a lot of needed ground if you are new, as I am, with some great footage by some of the best in wedding videography. I have seen it many times and is time to pass it on. |

Tyge,
Looks like a great kit, but I think you're asking a little much. You've got $3960 (+shipping) in the kit (B&H prices) since you got a $300 rebate from Sony. And now you're asking for someone to buy it off you for $210 less than full retail, knowing that it's been hauled half-way round the world and back. Seems kinda steep. Why wouldn't I just pay the $210 and get direct recourse and warranty through Sony and B&H rather than have to work through you as the original buyer if something goes wrong.

Good point. I never even considered the rebate, not having it in hand yet makes it easy to forget.
Any interest at $3250? Going once, going twice...going to eBay.

been called out
i thank my fellow dvinfo.net user's for sticking up for me. I was in kansas for a while and wasn't even worried about a computer. I've spoken with comp-usa and the issue will be resolved asap. I didn't know about the fan issue or i would have let patrick know ahead of time. I will remain a southern gentleman and not throw mud.
P.S. Thanks again, Greg Boston and Tyge Floyd Torrey C. Harris

I will also agree that Torrey has come through and things should be taken care of shortly. I hope he understands my motivation for posting here and my concern.
Thanks to everybody who responded, it made waiting much easier. |
