WTB: Cheap consumer camera for monitor output
This is a shot in the dark, but I figure it’s better to try here than buying cheap on eBay; they odds are wouldn’t understand what I intend to use it for. (or it would be stolen)
Does anyone have a small handheld camera that would work for premier output on an external monitor; I just need it for Firewire-->S-Video and RCA Audio I’m looking for something used, abused, possibly unable to record, broken lenses, LCD Screen, or unable play back tapes and thusly Cheap. I just dont want to put any more hours on my XL1s than I have to. |

I'd expect that most any little miniDV or Digital8 camcorder would do the trick. You may want to look at one with a working tape transport, though. You could then use it as a deck and offload even more hours from your XL1 (granted that you are using tapes and not going direct-to-disk).
'Just recently picked up a couple of Sony TRV120's (Digital8) on eBay for about $200-250 each. Once you get to this price range, however, you may be able to get one of those Canopus converter boxes instead.

XL1s PLUS Alot of Extras
I would like to sell my XL1s because I have not used it since I bought my PD170 for weddings.
1) XL1s with lens and viewfinder, approximately six to ten hours on the heads. 2) Five (5) high capacity batteries with very little usage (two of which have never been used and are still in the box. 3) Chrosziel Matte Box/French Flag, used once. 4) Beachteck XLR adapter for the XL1s (never used still in box). ALSO a 30 foot shielded cable enabling you to boom the Canon mic which comes standard with the camera. (Never used) 5) Canon XL Lens Adaptor to use different lenses (brand new, unused still in box) $4,000.00 or best offer. Email me at Invfraudguy@yahoo.com I pay for shipping.

Hugh,
I'll be the first to ask if you're willing to break up the package. (Lots of people, like me, are interested in some of it.) I'm intrested in the Mattbox, and maybe some of the Batts. |

The Matte Box was put up for sale separately anyway! Sure I'll sell it separately.
