Canon GL2 for sale
Hey board, how's everyone doing? I haven't been on in here in a few months.
I made this post because I may be wanting to sell my Canon Gl2. I've had it for almost 2 years and it only has about 20 hours of use on it, maybe not even that. However, the zoom rocker started to go out just as I knew it would. Many people said the GL2 had that problem. So I sent the camera in with my warranty and just received it back. They installed a brand new zoom rocker, tape deck, and a few other minor things. Anyway, the camera is in great condition. What would be a good price to sell this at, if I do. Is anyone interested in buying it from me? I can post pictures, and whatever else you would like to see. Also, included with the camera is everything it came with, box and all, of course. Canon BP-945 Battery. 2 other replacement batteries, 2 hour. 3 Maxell Mini DV tapes Raynox .3 Wide angle lens I've also got a brand new canon VL3 video light I never even got the chance to use. I'm thinking for all of this, $1700-$1800 is about right. Let me know what you think. |

I am not sure if the Cavision Mattebox will fit your Panasonic DVX-100A. You could probably call or e-mail Cavision in Canada and ask. Most likely they have a lens adapter to it will fit. Their website is http://www.cavision.com/

They will.
But the buyer may need to buy an inexpensive step down ring.

Just out of curiosity, as I have been looking at that matte box myself, how much did it cost you new?

FS: XL-1s Complete Package
Hi, I am selling my Canon Xl-1s camcorder which I just got back from Canon Service to get it all checked up, re-calibrated and cleaned. It is in perfect working condition, just like it was new. I am selling the entire package just as it comes new(including box etc.). The only item missing is the standard canon microphone, which is why I am also selling my MA-200 adaptor to use professional XLR microphones. I would prefer selling as one entire package, and whoever picks up the camera has first crack at the accessories.
1. Canon XL-1s w/ 16x lens and all original accessories +2 extra 8 hour batteries - $2600 2. Canon MA-200 Audio adaptor(for using professional XLR mics) with BNC connection - $225 3. Canon CH-910 Dual battery charger/holder - $75 4. Varizoom 5.6" LCD monitor with sunshade and swivel shoe- $275 5. Heavy duty Pelican style case with molded XL-1 cutout(much stronger than normal Canon hard case, you can even ship your camera on a plane with this) - $250 6. Set of 72mm Tiffen filters(polarizer, ND .6 and UV filter), never used - $90 Whole package combined - $3300 I am located in San Francisco for anyone who is interested in saving money on shipping. You can contact me via email info@yvyears.com or by phone 248.390.8162 Thanks!

Canopus DVStorm2
I bought the Canopus DVStorm a few years back. Not the one with the breakout box or MPEG daughterboard, but the ports are on the card and they work fine. I upgraded to DVStorm2 software which is still under warranty until September of 2006 according to the Canopus web site.
I have the original box and some Boris software that came with it. I am not using it anymore since I am editing HDV now. So I figured that somebody out there might be happy to have it. I am not going to gouge anyone. I got my use out of it. So I figure US$300 including shipping should be low enough to sell it and make sure it is used by someone who will give it a good home. I will even throw in a copy of Jacob Rosenberg's book "Premiere Pro 1.5 Studio Techniques" - my name is in the index so he sent me a couple of copies. I only need the one so you might as well have the other. There is a form on the web site that says I can transfer ownership and the warranty will transfer. So you will be able to get upgrades of software if they become available. Anybody interested? You can send me an email from my web site or post a response here. I just don't feel like messing around with EBay and selling to a stranger. Better it goes to someone here on these forums. |

4" x 4" 85 Circular True-Pol filter
http://www.schneideroptics.com/filte...polarizers/#c2
This filter combines a circular polarizer and a 85 warming filter. This means on a digital camera 1/2 or so f stop slower (which is usually good). Very High quality. Brand new unused. $60 shipped and insured to your door to US or Canada. These retail for way more. (I live in Canada so US neighbors will wait 2 weeks) |

I feel your pain Don. It is embarrassing to tell people a 1 1/2 year old took you out... When my youngest boy was about 2, he tore my rotator cuff. Best of luck to you on a smooth recovery.

Hi All and thanks for the kind words.
Shes a "little stinker" but we "like" her anyway-thank goodness her older brother (almost 7) is a "big boy" now. :-) I'm working with the doc, a chriopracter, a physical therapist and a massage therapist and its coming along slow but sure. My back feels better today than yesterday and the day before. Hopefully tomorrow it will feel better than today. I seem to be walking fine, sitting for a long period sucks but... Anyway, shooting today BUT using the small cams. Thanks again, Don |
