WANTED: Camcorder for a worthy cause
WANTED: Cheap Video camera: MiniDV, VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8
A longtime friend of mine has recently gone into the mission field in Kenya and now wants to videotape the whole experience for his friends and family, and also to do some film work for the church there. I've volunteered to do the editing, but I'm not yet ready to volunteer my GL-2's for the trip. We need a camcorder of some kind that's cheap and that works. Price concerns trump picture quality concerns in this case, so simple VHS is fine. We're willing to buy our own batteries for it, but it must be able to record and play back what it's recorded. We're looking to pay around $50 for the camera (including shipping). I know this is a longshot, but is any kindhearted soul out there getting rid of a ratty old (working) camcorder anytime soon?
