It does 16:9 the same way the PDX-10 does, it takes a subsample of the megapixel 4:3 chip to give a full resolution 16:9 image.

Panasonic PV-DV852 FS
I've just upgraded to the DVC30 so I'm parting ways with my DV852. It was bought last year from B&H and has less than 20 hrs on it. It's in NEW condition. I shoot ENG for a living so I baby my home gear as well.
As many people on this board know this camera is widely considered one of the top 1 chippers ever made. Do a search on "DV853" on here and you'll see how highly regarded it was and is. I upgraded to an AT-897 and just want to clear unused gear. The Azden SGM-2x comes with all original foam (short omni and long shotgun) and stock shockmount. I'm also selling a Mikemuff furry cover for the original shotgun foam and a separate Windtech BG-2 extra thick windscreen for the shotgun. First buyer with $150 + shipping takes the package.
