I'm new at this whole thing but was looking for a soft light solution. All I have now is cobbled together (some dishlamps, worklight etc.) Is this kit good for studio lighting. Like would this meet most of my indoor shooting needs?
I'm assuming this package comes with everything listed including all necessary power cords, etc? $340 sounds reasonable. Can you pay shipping? Thanks! Andy Stewart |

hi Nick
nothing taken the wrong way. Your comments are exactly what I meant. Too often when one says someting is a "name brand" widget, people feel limited to that brand without realising it might work on many others. anyway, best of luck in selling it Martin |

Andy,
This is a rather versatile setup and has lots of power, the 1/2 or full power option is great. You might want to make another simple diffuser out of a translucent cloth to soften it more. Another option would be to buy or make a small reflector that you can place on the other side of the subject. In all honestly, I think as a complete studio setup we would be better to mix this set with my set. I could offer you two of this lamps, with stand, cords etc, and one of my 250W lights that has a softbox and allows you to go from 1/8th power al the way up to full. Combining that one, with these two, will give you many different combinations for the strength of the light and allow you to be more creative. The kit comes with everything original except for the case, instead of the large plastic case, I have a large nylon bag made for a lighting setup. I can keep the price the same and switchone light for a softbox and one of these other lamps. I can also pslit on shipping if that works for you. Feel free to contatc me directly for my home number to discuss. |

yes, tape drive itself is working great.
(edit) But i wouldn't trust the heads as a play back deck, I'm not really sure if its just dirty heads or if they actualy need to be ajusted. When i first read this, I was thinking about the gears as replacement parts. I Wouldn't feel right selling it as a working camera or playback deck. thanks Last edited by Andrew Almendarez; October 11th, 2005 at 10:26 PM. |

Canon EF 100-300mm L lens for sale
Hey Ladies and Gents
I have for sale a Canon EF 100-300mm 'L' series lens. I'm offering it cheap because it is in rough exterior shape. The barrel body has lots of scratches, and the front glass has a 2mm long scratch in it as well. Yes, that is a scratch IN the glass. No, I didn't cause it. If it doesn't sell here in a week or so, it goes on Ebay. So the bad news is a scratch and rough exterior, but here is the good news: That scratch does not turn up in photos (that I have noticed). The lens is in good working condition. It takes sharp photos. Comes with a UV filter (if the previous owner had shelled out for one, it wouldn't be scratched...) It is pretty cheap for L series glass. I am flexible on the price. I am open to trade offers (looking for a Panasonic FX9 still digicam, better video tripod, or whatever.) I can provide sample photos taken with it for you to inspect as well as pics of the scratch if you are seriously interested, just email me. I'm selling it because I bought a Sigma 50-500mm lens. Here is a pretty honest review of the lens: http://www.photozone.de/2Equipment/r...anon100300.htm My asking price is $350us/$420cdn. The ones I have seen for sale on Ebay (in mint condition) have sold for about $400-$500us. Shipping will probably be $10. Yes, I take Paypal from forum members. Thanks!

Nick,
I think Martin is just suggesting more explicit language may expand your market and sales potential... some may not know what the thread size of their camera is.... believe it or NOT!!

Thanks guys
Advice taken on board.. Hopefully, my reply to Martin (although tongue-in-cheek) will have made the detail of the item a bit clearer. Thanks for the help. Nick |

I'm glad to hear your intentions were good Martin, but to tell you the truth, I couldn't figure out what the heck you were talking about either.

I just realized that the price for this software has gone down since I purchased it back in Dec 04, when it was $495. Man that really bites. Oh well.
I'll reduce to $150, but no lower. With the retail at $295, that almost 50% off the price. Any takers? |
