Looking for to buy Final Cut Pro
Hi guys, I'd like to buy an older version of FCP to cut my teeth on. I'm getting ready to buy a new G5, but I'd like to save as much as I could on the software. So, if anybody has an older version of FCP for sale let me know. Thanks.

Don't buy anything older than FCP 4 because it will be very slow and limited. Versions through FCP 3 were MacOS 9 applications which didn't take real advantage of the hardware. FCP 3 was ported to OS X but is not native and performance is really slow. And besides that, it won't install under MacOS 10.4.
Also, be certain you're buying a legitimate copy. If someone has upgraded to a new version then you can't legally install their old copy on your machine. |

Thanks Boyd. I didn't think I could get it if they already upgraded, I just needed to confirm my suspicion. I was thinking of getting the FCP 5 studio package. Is it worth it? Or should I buy seperate software for the DVD rendering?

FCP and Motion are the only apps I personally use. But if you need the others then the bundle is a good deal. I'm still on FCP 4.5, but will upgrade later this fall after I finish several large projects.
I haven't been burning DVD's on my Mac, but I don't really think there are any other apps more powerful than DVDSP. |

WTB:Canon GL2
Must be in good shape and come with factory accessories.
Brand new ones can be bought from BH for $1700 now with the rebate so I am setting my budget according to that. Please contact me if you have one of these for sale. Thanks freedom_dv@surfglobal.net |

Maybe FS: Sony HDR-FX1 HD Cam
I have a Sony HDR-FX1 HD Cam that I might sell. Reason is I want to get the XL2. Only used it for 2 -3 hours. Not a single scratch or anything wrong with the camcorder. Comes with everything including the box. Also an extra high capacity Sony battery. And a really nice bag made for this camera.
Asking $3050. You can contact me on wdskuk@yahoo.com or can call my cell at 708-297-0700. Thanks for looking. Last edited by Dennis Kuk; September 25th, 2005 at 09:58 PM. |

Still availble, I forgot to mention there IS a monitor mount. Basically everything you see on Glidecam's website.
I prefer tp keep the package together, but if anyone was interested in the Accessory pack alone, I can seperate it.

Canon GL2
Sam,
What would you consider to be a fair price for a Canon GL2 with less than 20 hours on it? Let me know. Jason |

I have a Steady Stick if anyone is still looking for one.
I feel obligated to mention, the only reason I would let this go is that I already had the Glidecam 2000 and the Glidecam Crane 200 when I won the Steady Stick. Sean McHenry
