I started researching the link you sent and then got side-tracked with hurricane preparation. Woke this AM to see its worse than forecast yesterday. I'm likely to be off the net for a few days starting later this today; power frequently takes a major hit with these things. I'll check back on this thread and if its not gone, I'll get with you then Matt. Of course that $750 may be spent for me this afternoon.

Still available and its more like 7 and 1/2 months left on the parts warranty (I originally quoted 6mos.) as this FX1 was purchased on Feb 22, 2005 from OneCall for $3299.99. I will include the invoice with purchase.

May I ask why you're selling it after so little use? Just curious. If only I had the cash.

DJ, as I mentioned above I just haven't had time to really invest in this cam and figured someone else might be able to put it to use. I also have a family vacation coming up and there is NO WAY my wife is letting me take such a large cam. :)
Next Sunday the FX1 goes to eBay. |

F.S. GL2 With Accessories in Montreal
I have a GL2 that I have used for maybe an hour. With it I have the Canon DC 58 wide angle lens, the Century Optics 2X teleconverter,DM-50 mic, the VL-3 light, an Optex light (cheap one), a porta brace cover that is insulated for winter use and a lowepro case that it all goes in. I just never really got into it and after going back and forth for the last few months have decided to sell it. I would like to sell it all as a package and am asking $3000 Canadian. The 1 hour is about right as I just tried it out on a few things and the lenses and mic have not been used. There are 2 batteries the standard one and the bigger Canon one. If interested email me at canlogic at sympatico.ca.
Revised price $2700 Can or $2200 US buyer pays shipping and insurance. Last edited by Tim D Wright; July 11th, 2005 at 05:50 PM. |

Clapboard
I want to buy a clapboard. Where, online, can I find a clapboard? I have found many sites but I would like some recommendations for sites that I can trust.
Thanks, David |

I've got a few items I thought I would offer here before going "you know where." See pics for actual items. U.S. only please.
1) Canon FU-1000 B&W NTSC Viewfinder for the for XL1/XL2 camera. Unit has a few external scratches on the body but works perfectly. Comes with the adapter for the XL1 and XL1s and will work without the adapter on the XL2. Manual also included. $1000 plus shipping. http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/fu1000-1.jpg http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/fu1000-2.jpg http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/fu1000-3.jpg http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/fu1000-4.jpg 2) Nebtek NEB 70 LI 7" widescreen LCD monitor with an intergrated Canon battery mount. Asking $500, plus shipping http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/nebtek-1.jpg http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/nebtek-2.jpg http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/nebtek-3.jpg Anton Bauer QRXL12 Gold Mount for XL1S and XL2 - Allows the use of AB gold mount batteries with the XL1 or XL2. David,
Here are the B&H Slates. But what do you (or anyone) look for in a slate. I mean, there are B&W slates, color slates, chaulk slates, and slates with built in timers. What makes a difference and what's just gold plating?

One of each and keep it simple!
The first link takes you to the typical slate we use in motion pictures & commercials. It is acrylic and is written on with a dry erase marker. You can use press-on letters for all of the pertinent info like Prod#, Director, etc.
The ones I own were of the same design but made by Earl at Panavision. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation The second link is for an insert slate. This is a very small slate used when shooting very tight, macro/close up shots. Using this enables you to ID the shot without having to zoom out or pan away from your subject matter. Especially useful when using prime lenses that cannot be zoomed. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation I would stay away from the "gray scale" and "color chart" sticks. Any serious DP will use a proper chip chart for timing purposes and the backlit slates are a waste of money. Since the slate is translucent, there is generally enough light behind the slate to light it up. Barring that, you can light your slate with a $5.00 flashlight! RB |

Patrick and Rick:
Thanks for the information. Honestly, I didn't know clapboards were that expensive for something that seems so simple (to me). David |

Hey Greg,
I've got a Twin Titan charger and a couple of 30Wh Proformer batteries which are in good condition and hold a good charge. Charger alone is $550 new and will charge any two of the AB batteries simultaneously. I'd take $550 plus shipping for the charger, batteries and XL adapter. pics are here http://www.jewsfortruth.org/images/ebay/titan-4.jpg
