Gotta ask why you're specifically after the 950 when Sony neutered the PDX10's excellent wide-screen mode on it. I always thought the TRV900 was a much better camera.

TRV950 - second camera
That's a great question & I couldn't agree more.
I have a TRV950, and need a second camera that I can seamlessly edit back & forth between it and my current camera. My assumption is, get another TRV950 & I'll have no worries. Obviously, I'd rather buy two newer, matching cameras, but that's not an option right now. If you know of another camera that shoots footage exactly like a TRV950, I am all ears! I'm not an expert by any means, just looking for a solution to my problem. Thanks! |

The Trv900 and the Trv950 have far differant video quality. More specifically, their "colors" are differant. People say that the Trv900 has "warmer" colors such as the older Sony DCR vx1000 while the trv950 has "colder" colors such as the Sony DCR Vx2000. Basically what I'm saying is...don't mix footage between the two, it just won't look the same. Get another TRV-950.
