what about the adaptor by itself?
Maybe you could break the kit apart and get: E-7S Battery: $150 B&H $190 VL-2 Charger & Power Cable: $480 B&H $550 JVC-V-Mount Battery Mount Adaptor $170 (can't find on B&H) I'd take the battery and mount if you agree to the above. I don't need a second charger sorry. |

If you buy everything I will reduce the price to $800 plus shipping. That's seven lights, a softbox, speedring, stands and lots of accessories for one low price.

Would you consider trading the iBook 12" for the following?
2 Lowel Tota with AC cables, protective screens, & bulbs (like new) 2 Lowel Gel Frames 1 Lowel V-light w/ spare reflectors 1 Photoflex Silverdome Medium 24" x 32" Softbox (no bag) 1 Chimera Speedring for Tota 1 Cool-Lux Mini Cool w/ AC Cable, Diffusion Glass, Light Stand Mount, 150 watt bulb - great shape 1 300 watt dimmer 2 Silver Umbrellas 2 Lowel Light Stands 1 Bogen Back Light Stand w/ 4" spud 2 sand bags - new 1 Lowel Case 1 How to Light for Videography (VHS) I would have to charge for actual shipping costs. New cost for these items would be over $1,000. |

I definately interested, do you have pics or more info on some of the items, as I'm not sure what all of them are. I read in another post that these parts will make a light that is as good (and quick?) as a rifa, am I getting that right?

I have a DV Organizer. It has barely been used and is in great shape. I don't have pictures of it yet, but here's a general link to it on EVS online, where I bought it.
I sold my DVX and haven't gotten around to listing the accessories yet. http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/m...t_Code=DVO2CRU You can email me at philipboyer@verizon.net.

I don't have any photos, but these links let you see what they look like.
Lowel Tota http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation Lowel V http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation Photoflex Silverdome http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search Chimera Speedring http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search Cool-Lux Mini-Cool http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search 2 Lowel Stands http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search Bogen Back light stand http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search Lowel Case http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search The Rifa opens like an umbrella and is faster to set up. The softbox I have available will take an entire 2-3 minutes to set up. You'll get quicker with practice. I think the silverdome is much more flexible too. You can use the Tota in the softbox or point into a piece of foamcore, at the ceiling, at a white wall, through a large piece of diffusion. Just more flexible than a Rifa. I think you will find this to be a very suitable kit for shooting interviews and more. Last edited by Patrick Gault; June 14th, 2006 at 08:10 PM. |
