In case you are curious, while I haven't posted a lot... I joined DV info back in 2004 and used the information here to determine what to buy (GL-2 & Vegas) and where to buy it (Zotz Digital and B&H).
Thanks for considering. Ben |

WTB: DVX100 or 100a or XL2 body w/ 35mm
Okay so I originally wanted an HD10 but I have changed my mind after doing more research. I'm looking for a DVX100 or DVX100A, preferably with some accessories but a barebones would be just as good.
I would really like a 35mm adapter as well. That's where the XL2 body comes in. I would consider one if a 35mm adapter was included. Please have an asking price. I'm located in southwestern VA, I'm a newbie, and I'm not going to lowball you. |

Id say around 250 hours...never used for playback or capture, I have decks for that. most of the time...they are used as sources only..no tape running through them..so the hours on the tape mechanism is only around 50 hours. I would run them through a switcher and record the program tape to the DSR-1500s. Only rarely am I required to record iso tapes, as the cameras were primarily used for I-Mag presentations. Also they are DVCAM format..I hadnt mentioned that, but it is apparent from the type of cameras they are. I found one on that auction site...asking 2500, but it now at around 5000. I would not expect the buy it now..even though they were purchased new for around 11000 not including the bags zoom controllers and follow focus.

You can check the exact hours in the menu under diagnostic.
Remember the numbers have a x10 after them so a 50 is really 500 hours. As far as the price, these cameras went for $5000-$7000 (depending on which lens) when they were new, early in their product cycle. With the hours as you say, under 300, I would expect $3000-$3700 for the camera and lens. I just bought a DVC-200 with 40 hours for $2900 (cheap lens). Accessories will bring the price up a bit, but it is hard to judge the value of used batteries ect... Good luck! BTW, this camera does not use the DVCAM format, it uses full size DV. |

I've had to edit this thread. Please everyone, if you feel Gregory's price is too high then just make a lower offer. Thanks.
