Sony FX1 for sale! $1749.00 + Shipping
Hello all! I’m selling my Sony HDR-FX1 camera with all original (and a few added) accessories and original retail box. The original retail price of the camera was $3100.00. I'm selling it and the accessories below for $1750.00 + Shipping.
I purchased the camera back in May of 2006 to shoot my senior thesis on and have since used it for a handful of weddings. I estimate the recording hour meter (based on my number of tapes and my video files) around 115 hours total. The camera is in truly excellent shape and is almost perfect cosmetically. I’m a very careful and anal owner. See pics of my FX1 and accessories at this link below: Sony FX1 for sale! | Facebook I did mod the right side of the camera with a Sony Z1U Mic Holder, which I ordered and installed flawlessly myself. Holds shot gun mics perfectly. Here are all the accessories that come with it: -Porta Brace DV4U Mini DV Camera Case (holds a lot of stuff and camera securely!) -Porta Brace QS-M4 Rain Slicker -Hoya 72mm Introductory Filter Kit – UV, Polarizer, ND (UV filter is currently screwed on where it was placed immediately upon purchase) -Sony HVL 20DW2 10/20W Light -Lumiquest Promax Mini Softbox - Lowepro Small Camera Bag (I keep the Sony HVL light safe in here) -Sony NP-F570 Info-Lithium Battery (7.2v, 2200mAh) -Two - Sony NP-F970 Info-Lithium Battery (7.2v, 6600mAh). Each one still holds a charge of around 6 hours and 45 minutes. -Sony AC-V700A AC Power Adapter / Charger - for L and F100 Series Lithium-Ion --Batteries -Remote Control - RMT-831 + 2 AA Batteries -Multi Audio/Video Cable -Component Video Cable -RadioShack Firewire cable -Large Eye Cup -Lens Hood -Shoe Adapter -Cleaning Cassette -Shoulder Strap -Microfiber Lens Cloth -AC Adapter and Power Cord -Porta Brace - White Balance Card (slight yellowing along edges) -DVD: Hands On: HDV – A Complete Guide to the HVRZ1U and HDR-FX1. -Original Owner’s Manual I accept Cashier’s Check or Personal Checks. However, these must clear or be verified first before I will ship my camera and accessories to you. I used to work in a bank – it’s best to be thorough. I will also accept cash in person only, assuming you want to do a pick up. I live in Pittsfield, MA. Unfortunately I have to part with my baby in order to pay bills. Perhaps next year I'll purchase another great camera. Until then, this one is for sale! Let me know if you are interested! Take care! |

Hey Brian, The camera has somewhere between 50 - 75 hours of use. Also, the camera has never been used for capture, I have another camera I used for that.

I am looking for a dof adapter but have Nikon lenses. I went to the redrock site but couldn`t work out whether your setup could be modified but purchasing a part to make it accept nikon lenses. Any idea?
I`m also quite interested in the matte box setup - could you pm me with details please? Thanks |

I might consider that -- how many clicks on the shutter and what condition is it in?

Damian - sending you an email now.
Just an update, I also have two SmallHD DP1x monitors for sale. Both have battery brackets and neoprene sleeves and sunhoods. One has a slight scratch on the LCD panel but it does not affect normal use. Otherwise both are in great, almost-new shape. I have a U-bracket for one, and I believe I have three or four SmallHD (rev. 1) batteries with chargers. I'll post another update soon with photos and solid pricing on these items but I'm looking for about $725 per DP1x with sunhood, battery bracket & neoprene sleeve. Thanks for looking, guys :) |
