Canon XL H1
I'm looking to buy a gently used Canon XL H1 and have it shipped to Portland, Oregon. Willing to pay $3,000 to $3,400 depending on condition and accessories. I will be in the field until June 8th, so will not be able to respond to offers until then, but will be very glad to negotiate further upon my return.
Thanks, Adam Elzinga |

Hey Adam, I'm just about to head out of town for a few days myself. When you get back, drop me a line. I have two original version XL H1 cameras in virtually new condition, in their boxes with all original accessories (need to update the ad...it has gotten fairly far down in this forum).

Please clarify: is this genuine Arri? If it's black it's either been painted or its a knockoff. Photos would help.

Arri has always sold two versions of it's fresnels.
One version (blue) for field kits - and another version (black) for studio installations. Typically, the blue gear is sold in kits with accessories like full and half stop scrims, barn doors, gel frames, stands and long, switched cables. I'd imagine that the black gear (which I've never owned) is likely sold "instrument only" with a shorter cable suitable for plugging into an overhead grid in a theatrical situation. When I've seen the black versions at trade shows, they have a more robust wire screen over the fresnel lens - clearly to protect the audience from dropping glass should a lamp blow or something else violent happen to the instrument. Same piece of gear, configured two separate ways? YMMV.

Zacuto Universal Baseplate w/12" Rods - $400

Canon 3x wide
I need a 3x wide for a shoot on tuesday, it's a holiday weekend so I'm probably not going to be able to purchase from someone who isn't in driving distance from Atlanta. I'd be happy to rent as I only need it for a couple of days, if I end up purchasing I'll most likely resell it here.
But hey if you got one hanging around and you're in the southeast US I can give you a few hundred for it. Nick
