WTB: Part of Promax Cobra Crane
This is an odd request, but I recently lost a part to my ProMax Cobra Crane (it's an older model) and Promax no longer has this part in stock. It's the steel cable that acts like a pulley system on the crane. Can anyone help?

Still available. I'm going to put it on ebay after New Years so make an offer if you're interested. adamsculpt@yahoo.com. I'll be out of town for a few days next week but will respond when I get back.

You can purchase steel aircraft cable and the fittings from most good hardware stores, boat stores and aircraft supply houses.
There is nothing special about the cable and you can measure the length you require for your crane by using string to wrap around the pulleys and connect to the turnbuckle. Then you can measure the string and then order the cable and fittings.

It would be helpful if you threw out at least a ball-park price, so people can tell if they may be able to afford it...

Thanks for the suggestion, Imram. I can't decide what to ask which is why I left it open. But here goes:
Markertek.com sells the receiver for $369 and the transmitter for $169. I couldn't find the mic listed on their site. B+H sells the 500LTS system, which has the same mic and transmitter but updates the receiver to the 500udr, for $639.95 How about $400 with the Sony mic. |

Excellent Canon GL2 + Accessories For Sale
Immaculately kept Canon GL2 (NTSC) with accessories for sale to a good home (will only sell as a package). I love this cam and it's been my baby for barely a year - I am only selling it because I have come across some extra cash and decided to blow it on a 24p cam.
GL2 INFO : - I have all manuals and such that came with it - Only recorded about 10-15 hours - it's basically brand new! - I've only used Fuji tapes, and kept the heads clean - It performs flawlessly and has never required any repair / problem maintenance - Always kept it in a hard protective camera case (not included), so it's been babied ACCESSORY INFO: 1) Additional Long-Life Battery LIC941-5550mAh The LIC-941 (5500mAh) is the generic for, and lasts longer than the Canon BP-945 (4500mAh). Works perfectly with the Canon charger included with the cam. 2) Canon WD-58H Wide Angle Converter Lens Beautiful piece of glass, barely used, comes with hood and Canon bag. 3) Tiffen Soft FX/2 Glass Filter A great way to soften that video look without diffusion overkill. Recommended by DVCreators. This filter can work in conjunction with the wide-angle. 4) Studio 1 XLR-BP Pro (XLR Adapter) It's the one that lets you clip the adapter to your belt or pocket so heavy XLR cables don't weigh down your camera. I consider this superior to the Beachtek, after side-by-side audio comparison. Plus it has a ground switch unlike the Beachtek, so you can use this with any cam, or even some other external recording device like a MiniDisc. 5) Mic Muff Boom Mic Windscreen This is the gerbil-looking thing that helps kill wind when using a boom outdoors. Works with many boom mics including Azden SGM-1X, and maybe the 2X. Only used once with great success. Again, this is an entire package that must be sold altogether. Everything is in excellent condition. It's a great all-inclusive kit; just add a boom mic and you're done! Price is only $2,100 for the entire lot! Mildly negotiable :) Buyer pays for shipping (from Orlando, Florida). I accept PayPal, Money Order or Certified/Cashier's Check. Not interested in trades please.
