How much does a 2ndhand Sony DCR TRV900 go for these days?
I have one NTSC model in excellent condition that i might want to let go off. |

True! There are license restrictions, such as no profit and for educational use. But this is a great bundle for someone learning or doing donated work and such. I never woudl have gotten into The Adobe products if it were not for the great educational discounts.

Education
Well you did say "just carry educational labelling.'
It's the license that counts. |

True, and while I don't encourgae it, most people don't read or follow their licenses, but they should.

A fair price would be about $1400 US, maybe a tad more if it's in minty/working shape, and everything is included which came with the cam. That would be my guess, anyway.

Thanks Frank
(have visited your sites before - good stuff. esp the links page you have somewhere) It is in excellent condition. Have had it for a while but have hardly touched it as it's an NTSC model. I'm in PAL land and have pd150. I have these extras as well 1. Vitacon semi-fish eye .45x 2. Kenko 05 PRO 0.5X Wide Angle 3. Sony Condenser microphone ECM-HS1 Anyone interested? |

There's always someone looking for a TRV900 - great cam. Perhaps also post this at dv.com's camera forum. If you don't get bites, consider becoming a ebay reseller. I'm sure you'll get lots bidders. (I'm always buying off ebay, this and that.) On another note, this one "film-maker" here in Vancouver shot like a 2 hour plus doc with her PD100 (TRV900 pro version), and had her doc transferred to film. The doc is called, "the fix, the story of an addicted city." (Vancouver) :(
