You could try B&H, videodirect and cameraworld to see if they have any used ones/returns (open box specials). Buydig is another dealer which usually has deals on older cams. With these places, at least you'll get a warranty.

Well, that's a once in a lifetime deal.
Wish I had more friends like that.

Your best bet is to go ahead and hold out for his deal, because you definitely won't find a price like that on a legitimate basis.

I am prepaired to send you $900 money order and I pay for shipping to me here in alaska. Please reply to me at my E-mail videoservices@acsalaska.net Would you be wiling to send include your ph number so I can talk to you direct. |

Jake...
If you're interested in buying the body, then I'd be interested in buying the lens. Dean Sensui Base Two Productions |

I'd rather not talk business on the forum, please email or call sometime when it is convenient. I would like to discuss price and logistics.

Private Classifieds listings from 2006
The school I teach at has several Gitzo video tripods for sale. The head is a model G1380. The legs are 3 sections, aluminum and have spiked tips, with caps, 75mm bowl. I can't make an exact identification of the legs, but proably the G1338. B&H sells just the head for $850 and the kit for $1350, and heads are on ebay for $700 to $750.
I have three for sale at this time, but are subject to pior sale. These were acquired (I don't know if they were donated or given by a business etc.) by the school over the summer. Two look brand new, one has a few marks. We use XL1's that are loaded and we are pushing the limits of the units. I don't want the students to tear these up, so we are purchasing larger units. The school was hoping for $1,200 each, but I have set a more realistic price of $800 to $900 depending on payment method and shipping etc. |
