Price reduced to $8500 and buyer pays shipping. All transaction can be made via paypal to provide the buyer with protection if they would like. Would even consider a trade of HD cameras. I just checked this camera only has 102 drum hours.

Opinion request - For sale JVC BR-HD50 deck (?)
Guys, in this changing economy/market/craft, what do you think the value of a BR-HD50 is today? Seems crazy, I bought it less than two years ago for $2,700. I'd like to sell it and I'm obviously willing to take a loss, but at some point it becomes more valuable to just keep it. It's got low hours, it works perfectly, I have the box, yadda yadda yadda.
What's your take on it? Thanks in advance, Eric |

Opinion
I hear you, Eric: I sold my Sony PD150 last year for $1000 (2 large batteries and charger, bag, insanely low hours... yadda yadda) because I thought "I'm not working in SD anymore..."
Well, all of a sudden I realize my VTR reads DVCam but doesn't RECORD DVCam. Only DV. So now when I send tapes off to broadcasters for PSA's and such, I get the "oh, DV... hmmmm... uh..." Would have been better off to keep it for what I got for it as now I routinely need favours from friends and colleagues so I can output DVCam. My NEW opinion is: I get/got the write off for it, it owes me nothing, I'm keeping it UNLESS I have ZERO foreseeable use for it (whatever "it" is...) Good luck and hope this helps...

Hey Eric,
I also feel your pain, we sold that same deck awhile ago and it always hurts to take a hit like that. As for fair value I would look at Ebay and see what they are selling for, it's a catch all solution but realistic. Your lucky at least being in the Bay Area, there are a lot of people and methods to sell gear. I grew up there, nice area. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I'm not really freaked about it. Like you say Daniel, fortunately (and also quite unfortunately because I'll never be able to own a home here) I live in a good area. Also thank god I'm still a carpenter full time. Otherwise I might be desperate. I've checked them out on ebay. There are enough for sale up there for $1,800 - $2,000, but I'm not sure they're moving. You're also right Shaun, the day after I unload it I'll probably need it. It's kind of a shame, thing just sits now since I sold my HD200.

Wireless LAV set (under $150)
Looking for a cheap LAV system, budget wont let me go with the sennheiser so Azden seemed ok for the price from the reviews. Shoot me a PM if you have a wireless lav setup for under $150 (used of course)
Thanks.
