Hooked it up and works great. I especially like the way my Z1U controls the HDD's recording (in follow mode) and the way FCP's Log and Transfer tool both copies files from the HDD to my computer AND rewraps them from .m2t to .mov
This will save me lots of time (that i'd be otherwise capturing) and deck-use wear on my camera, - eric

thanks, Nate. Plugged it into my MacProx8 and the device was immediately recognized in System Preferences Sound pane, Input tab. It worked fine with several phantom power-required mics i tried, - eric

The camera is mint, and still for sale, $2400.00. it has a uv filter, kata cover, extra canon battery, and again, only has 37 hours recording time on it. bill wdboehm@yahoo.com

I really thought I'd like the 85 1.4 better but to my surprise I think I've fallen in love with the 17-55 2.8. Thanks.
