I don't know if this works for your cam, but I think it's worth doing the research! I put the link in my post.

At least an idea of where I can get one for cheaper than $190? I can't spend that much unless I sell my old slicker (which is for Sony cams).

Thanks for your note though actually the spec states it is fitted for the V1 not the Z1(FX1) the geography of which is different.

Need shotgun mic
I am looking to get a used shotgun mic. Ideally a Senn 416, but if the price were right I would settle on a Rode NTG-2 or equivalent just to get by for the moment. Needs to be 12.5 inches or less to fit the RODE Blimp
Thanks Dasher |

Canon XHA1, Redrock M2, SWIT and Accessories
Well, the day has finally come for me to trade up in the world, and sell my beloved camera. I am currently seeking a film-maker who is looking for an all-in-one package for a camera and 35mm adapter. The rig is posted below in several photos, and a full equipment list is available one request. I am not selling my lenses, but the adapter is for Nikon F-mount.
Everything comes in one case, ready to go, and you could theoretically be shooting within minutes of receiving the package. If you are local (or within Ontario) I will hand deliver the case, and give you a quick setup and operation tutorial. If you are interested in seeing some lovely footage shot on this camera rig, go to mknayman.com and check out my demo reel. Everything from Scarecrow, Maypole, Speed Limit, and all three music videos was shot on it as were my two short films "FARE" and "The Black Shell" (which won an Award for Best Cinematography at the Youngcuts Festival in Montreal). This rig has seen a lot of use, but has been kept in Tip-Top shape. It is a working rig, a Damn good one, has some wonderful 'kludging' to solve problems (like on-board Noga-arm for mounting a video monitor, and external 9v for the M2) and I hate saying goodbye to it, but the time has come to move on. New, everything in this kit would cost well into five figures, but I am hoping to make someone a deal for a good price. My initial offer is $6500 (Canadian) or $6000 (American) for everything. It breaks down fairly when examined. $3000 (C) for the camera, $1500 for the redrock, $500 for follow focus, $150 for mattebox, $500 for 4 batteries (2x BP970, 2x BP950) $1000 for Varizoom SWIT and noga arm, $300 for Pelican 1650 with proper foam pre-cut, $100 for 24" rods... It all comes out separately to $7000, but I'll offer $500 off as the package for a total of $6500. Throw in a bunch of smaller, hard-to find parts, a set of hand grips, free delivery locally, plus set up and the confidence that this rig has been used on real productions to create fantastic video, and I think it's a pretty good deal. Please feel free to PM me for a detailed list of parts, condition, and to make me offers. I am flexible on the price, but really want to sell as a complete package. Am willing to sell entire Redrock package separately from camera, and sell camera separately as well, but not break it down any further. Camera alone (w/4 batteries and Portabrace bag) $3200 ($2900 USD) Redrock complete system minus camera $3500 ($3100 USD) Full Package $6500 Look forward to hearing your offers. I have been around these forums for a long time, so you can be confident that I am not a scammer, and I'm sure there are one or two folks around here who can attest to this (I'm looking at you, Mike Y. Wong)... Last edited by Matthew Nayman; September 11th, 2009 at 04:50 AM. |
