Thanks
Hey sorry about the prefix i was basically asleep when i wrote it sorry. And thanks for the help. My budget right now is not more than 2 grand. I know there are some pretty good cameras for around that price but just trying to find one I like. I like to have complete manual control on as much as i can. And we will be shooting everything from weddings to short action films to commercials and comedies. Thanks again for your help everyone.

The only difference between the older ones and the new one is that the new light comes with a gel filter holder for a 3200k filter. The original light does come with the power adapter, and if you like I can throw in a filter holder and gel that I used for indoor use. It's from PAG 9983 Filter Kit PAG | 9983 Softlight Diffuser and Filter Kit | 9983 | B&H Photo You simply attach whatever filter you need and slide the filter holders onto the HVL barn doors. It works great and I used it all of the time at reception for balancing to 3200k while indoors. Let me know what you think. |

Thanks Michael. I'm torn right now and considering the MicroPro. I just bought the Comer 1800 almost regret it due to the weight with battery, though I know it's a great light. I stopped using the Sony 10/20 due to it's weight.
The Micro Pro would seem to be the better choice for camera balance and weight, and would seem to be a better choice for a second light than the sony that requires another Sony battery. I'll mull it over, thanks for offering the extras. BTW, thanks for your review of the Comer 1800, well done. |

For two grand you can easily get a new FX7 or a used FX1. I happen to have two FX1s available here: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/private-c...condition.html
But there are many, many alternatives right here in this forum if you just read back a bit. |

I will say that even though the Sony/Comer lights are large they balanced real well when you mount the light on the cameras handle instead of on the front of the camera. This way the camera doesn't get front heavy. When the light is on the cameras handle the weight is distributed evenly over the center of the camera. I mount lights this way on my cameras regardless of which light is used. |

I prefer to buy from sellers who indicate their asking price. Then, I know if their serious. I sent him an email however, but he hasn't responded yet.

I am selling one of my JVC GY-HD250 ProHD cameras. It is in excellent condition and includes the standard Fujinon TH16x5.5BRMU lens, Anton-Bauer battery mount, shotgun mic, and camera plate in the original JVC shipping box with manuals. The GY-HD250 includes Time-Code In/Out and Genlock, plus HD/SD SDI Out, firewire out, composite out, Remote Control out, etc. It cost me $9,999.00 new and I'm asking $7500, but will entertain an offer. Please contact me at camera@credencepictures.com.
